Maine Armenian Picnic

Searsport Shores Campground

Follow the aroma of the wood grills and the sound of Armenian music to Searsport Shores Ocean Campground on Sunday, July 26. Spend the day enjoying traditional Armenian foods, live music, folk dancing, artisan vendors, children's activities, and the warmth of Armenian hospitality on the coast of Maine. Whether you have Armenian roots or are simply curious about the culture, everyone is welcome. 

Community Folkdancing: August 1st, September 5th, October 3rd

Monthly Dance Workshop with Downeast Folk Dancers

7 - 9pm at the MDI YWCA, 36 Mount Desert Street, Bar Harbor

$10 Admission

The Kotwica Band will play music from the Baltic to the Black Sea and beyond. March's dance will focus on Macedonian music, featuring intricate rhythms and harmonies. We'll even do the Macedonian "bunny hop"!

Dance teaching will be at 7:00-8:00pm and request dancing 8:00-9:00 will be led by experienced dancers.  Learn dances from Armenia, Bavaria, Brittany, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Hungary, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Sweden, and Ukraine.  No experience and no partner is needed.  Admission is $10 at the door.  For more information, visit Downeast Folk Dancers on Facebook.
